知ってる知らない？漢字 is an iOS app for learning the readings and meanings of Japanese kanji words, yojijukugo and idioms by swiping. It has 1,200 entries in six levels, and the app picks which words come next.

Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your device. Deleting the app deletes your data.

I answered a card by mistake.
Tap ひとつ戻す (Undo) at the top right of the study screen to take back your last answer.

When does a word come back?
Each 知ってる (I knew it) stretches the gap before the word returns: the next day, then 3, 7, 14, 30 and 90 days. 知らない (Again) moves it down two steps and brings it back in about 10 minutes (your next session). A word you answer 知らない on the 30-day or 90-day step comes back the next day.

The reading doesn’t play.
Check that 発音 (Pronunciation) is on in the 設定 (Profile) tab, and that your volume is up. The reading plays even in silent mode. To hear it each time you reveal a card, also turn on 自動で発音 (Auto-pronounce).

Can I change my level or study mode later?
Yes, from 目標レベル (Target level) and 学習モード (Study mode) in the 設定 (Profile) tab. You can also choose them on the 今日 (Today) tab when you start a new session. New words come from the level you choose. Reviews come from every level in your current mode. 慣用句 (Idioms), 漢字 (Kanji) and 四字熟語 (Yojijukugo) keep separate reviews.

I want to go over the words I didn’t know.
Words you answered 知らない stay under 苦手 (Struggling) in the ことば帳 (Library) tab until you master them. If you answered 知らない in your last session, the 今日 (Today) tab shows a card with how many words. Tap it to open the list. もう一度スワイプする (Swipe these again) starts a session with just those words.

Can I use it in English?
Yes. Choose English under 言語 (Language) in the 設定 (Profile) tab. The words, their meanings and the example sentences stay in Japanese.

「知ってる知らない？漢字」は、漢字の言葉・四字熟語・慣用句の読みと意味を、スワイプで学ぶ iOS アプリです。あわせて 1,200 語を、6 つのレベルに収録しています。次にどの言葉を出すかは、アプリが決めます。

よくある質問

データはどこに保存されますか？
すべて端末内に保存されます。アプリを削除するとデータも削除されますのでご注意ください。

答えを間違えてしまいました。
学習画面の右上の「ひとつ戻す」で、直前の答えを取り消せます。

答えた言葉は、いつまた出ますか？
「知ってる」と答えるたびに、次に出るまでの間隔が、翌日・3 日後・7 日後・14 日後・30 日後・90 日後とのびます。「知らない」と答えると 2 段下がり、約 10 分後（次のセッション）にまた出ます。30 日の段や 90 日の段で「知らない」と答えた言葉は、翌日に出ます。

読みが再生されません。
設定タブの「発音」がオンになっているか、端末の音量をご確認ください。読みはマナーモードでも再生されます。答えを表示したときに自動で読み上げるには、「自動で発音」もオンにしてください。

レベルや学習モードは、後から変えられますか？
設定タブの「目標レベル」と「学習モード」で、いつでも変えられます。今日タブで新しいセッションを始めるときにも選べます。新しい言葉は、選んだレベルから出ます。復習は、いまの学習モードのすべてのレベルから出ます。「慣用句」「漢字」「四字熟語」の復習は別々です。

知らなかった言葉だけを見直したいです。
「知らない」と答えた言葉は、習得済みになるまで、ことば帳タブの「苦手」に残ります。前回のセッションで「知らない」と答えた言葉があると、今日タブにその数が出ます。タップすると、一覧が開きます。「もう一度スワイプする」で、その言葉だけのセッションを始められます。

表示を英語にできますか？
設定タブの「言語」で、日本語と英語を切り替えられます。言葉と意味、例文は日本語のままです。

しくみをくわしく知りたいです。
設定タブの「学習のしくみ」で、答え方や復習のタイミングを確認できます。
